Abstract
Assuming the big interest of Francisco Umbral in Generation of ’27, the poet Rafael Alberti deserves a special attention, because his person and his work have an important presence in Umbral’s bibliography. They both met in Italy, in 1972, and they continued their friendship since 1975, when Alberti went back to Spain after to have been exiled. Throughout his work and due to this friendship, Umbral can show to his readers a very close and subjective picture of Alberti. The present work picks up the keys of their relationship and, after, it signs the literary influence Umbral received of Alberti. The analysis is focused, particularly, in Mortal y rosa, his most lyric work.
