Dualisms in question: a feminist reading of Antigone as a figure of the spirit in Hegel’s Phenomenology: uma leitura feminista de Antígona como figura do espírito na Fenomenologia de Hegel

Abstract
The aim of this text is to discuss Sophocle’s play (and carachter) Antigone as a figure of the spirit (Geist), as Hegel puts it in his Phenomenology of Spirit. Hegel uses the play and the carachter to point out a crucial moment of the spirit: his firts dissolution. From a Reading that puts the carachter Antigone as an oposition to Creon, as she stands up for the divine law and the woman’s side (as opposed to human law, polis or State law, and the man’s side), Hegel, in my opinion, proposes a superficial Reading, lefting the ambiguities of the Sophoclean text aside. Based on Kathrin Rosenfield’s interpretation of the play, from Hölderlin’s translation of it, I would like to point out this ambiguities, in order to emphasize the importance of a female figure of the spirit.
