Paragone entre pintura y escultura en el siglo XIX español

Abstract

The "Paragone" between painting and sculpture, in Nineteenth-Century Spain, leads us to know how sculpture was considered in disadvantage as artistic expression, specially concerning two main functions of art in this century: to persuade and to narrate. This work presents contemporary opinions of this problem that concerned very closely to art critics.
