Abstract

During the excavation of a prehistoric ritual site near Cambridge (Cambridgeshire, U.K.) the skeleton of a fairly large dog dating from the Early-Middle Bronze Age was found in a ditch terminal. This animal is amongst the largest recovered thus far from the period in Britain and displays spinal pathology.
