Abstract
The new World-State, arising from what Santiago López Petit has been calling The September 11th Event, is obsessed with the establishment of security and order. The establishment of security and order happens nevertheless through the transformation of the State into a War-State, uniquely legitimized to use organized violence. According to Santiago López Petit, this transformation will only be possible if the state re-theologizes itself, acquiring the attributes of an Absolute State and developing a successful interpretation of reality.
