Abstract
In this paper I discuss Natorp's interpretation of Plato's theory of ideas. I expose Herman Cohen's premise that Natorp accepts in order to develop his antirealistic theory, and how this interpretation of the Meno dialogue distances itself from Aristotelianism. Natorp's interpretation is philosophically interesting because it presents a deflactionary version of Platonic idealism by considering ideas as laws of thought, i.e. not as of themselves, but as a theory about the possibility and nature of thought.
