Abstract
The aim is to immerse ourselves thoroughly in the roots of a pressing issue: the approach which affirms that duty proceeds exclusively from divine precept. The Evoran teachers declare precisely and absolutely that obligation to natural law is prior to any precept. This conception, subsequently and frequently contested, led to a controversy which still persists today.
