Abstract
In this article I review the reflections devoted by Manuel Sacristan to the issue of technology. Starting with the distinction between technique and technology, I will develop the relationship that Sacristán drew between technology and science. Then I will show that the his reflections about science, central in his work, are equally applicable to the question of technology. Finally, I will review the political conclusions Sacristán derived from the above, in particular the limits imposed on some of the most orthodox Marxist readings.
