The republicanism of Benito Pérez Gald´´os

Abstract

In her article, the writer Marta Sanz describes the most important aspects that link Benito Pérez Galdós with Spanish republicanism. From his vital approach for the First Republic to his collaboration and participation with republicanism at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Galdós declares himself in favor of this political system and social organization for what it has of social justice and fight against inequalities observed in the society of the moment.
