Abstract

Adolfo Rivadeneyra reconciled his job as diplomatic with the Near East's study of the time he was living (19th century) and his history. This work in the history of that lands run in a parallel way with the Orientalism, that was borning in Europe, and from what he was a pioneering and a introductory. His oriental studies, that were incorporated on his books, constitute the germ of this science in Spain.
