Abstract
The war in Ukraine has had a significant impact on international stability, especially affecting North Africa and the Middle East. This conflict coincides with important transformations in these regions, leading to a redefinition ofpolitical alliances, an increase in the prices of basic commodities, an energy crisis, and a greater prominence of local powers. The book "The Impact of the War in Ukraine on North Africa and the Middle East" examines these effects through various studies, addressing topics such as the socioeconomic impact, the foreign policy of Turkey and the Gulf monarchies, and the strategies of Israel and Iran. The region's response to the war reflects a balance between maintaining relations with Russia and the West, while European policy towards the region shows an increasing securityorientation. The authors analyze how the war has deepened pre-existing processes of change and how the region is seeking greater autonomy in a multipolar international scenario.
