Abstract
The article examines the phenomenon of migration in Philippines, and how the mass exodus of Filipinos from their country is related to a careful strategy of exporting labor on the part of the different governments that have succeeded in power. It will be also focused in the growing feminization of this process. And finally, we will pay attention to the way that the real experiences of migrant women address for the design of the migrant as a national hero or heroine.
