Knowledge and practices of rural women: Some narratives

Abstract
The content of this article is about stories, narratives and life experiences of women in the rural area of Joinville, Santa Catarina (Brazil), from an investigation conducted in 2017, through semi-structured interviews and filming, which resulted in production of a documentary entitled “The female protagonism in the rural area of Joinville”. In it, women of different ages and from different contexts present aspects of their rural life trajectory, choices, challenges and learning, as well as the struggle for rights and recognition. The work aimed to exchange experiences, with a view to highlighting knowledge and doing, resulting in important interactions and recognitions with women in rural areas. The proposed approaches were able to discuss and tangent, through data, theoretical references and contents of the research itself, which resulted in a visual material, highlighting aspects of female presence in the field, both locally and in broader contexts.
