The mutations that human, environmental, economic and technological realities are undergoing in the last forty years are a new challenge for legal orders. Problems such as the growth and distribution of human population, migration movements, new technologies of communication and the hyperconnectivity they imply, climate change and financial economies, and others similar in their structural features, demand a regulation the author is not sure we are prepared to implement. The claim to face them with merely verbal solutions, such as the appeal to words like networks, becomes deceptive and misleading. The author invites legal scholars to suggest some possible paths to the solution of these new needs of regulation.
