Tribute to John Dewey

Abstract

Exactly one hundred years ago, in 1916, one of the most influential books in Education of the 20th century was published. This is the work Democracy and Education by John Dewey (1916). From the International Journal of Education for Social Justice (RIEJS) we wanted to pay a small tribute to this work and its author organizing the thematic section of this number 5 (1), of 2016, on "Democratic Education and for Democracy".
