Abstract

The aim of this paper is to reflect on the role that consumption images have during the first years of educators training. We rescue results from visual creation practices carried out by students, which are elaborated from a corporeal approach in contexts of advertising communication. The theoretical framework from which we analyze these productions is the new-materialisms, carrying out a diffractive reading of those visual results. We use concepts such as "tearing" to read and continue expanding the senses regarding the subjectivity of future educators, questioning the context, the conceptuality and the hyper-reality of the consumption image. We show the results of the visual productions that dialogue with said images, thus empowering the agency of future educators as producers of critical imagery with advertising discourses. We think that it is necessary to continue reflecting during initial training on the political regimes of the visual, its influence on the construction of meanings, as well as on the pedagogical task itself. Come up with spaces of thought regarding the image that allow our students to question those visual production, thus moving away from the position of consumers of visual culture to become producers that represent those realities that have no images.
