Abstract
: This study corresponds to the final Master's project defended by the first author before the jury of the Master's in Music Therapy at Lusíada University ofLisbom, Portugal, on January 27, 2023. Impact of the Process in Music Therapy in the area of emotional expression and communication in a young adult with intellectual disability with recurrent stereotypies. Resident of the Coimbra Cerebral Palsy Association in Portugal
Objective: To describe the music therapy process, understand which approaches, means, methods and objectives and results are predominantly evidenced in the area of emotional expression and communication. Methodology: exploratory study with a qualitative, descriptive, primary and cross-sectional focus. Results: Impact at a reactional level, improvement of communication relating directly to the social and interaction context.
