Abstract

The difficulties of our students in learning. Mathematics is greatly related to the difficulties in working Algebra.
In this paper, we try, by evaluating the consequences that produce the nonsense of the algebric expressions for most of the students, to transmit the idea that the real didactic problem is not only to estimate the relatuie imponance between the syntactic methods and the semantic ones, but also to find the deep purpose of Algebra, that is to interprate, in terms of Algebric expresions, concrets situations. In fact, to do Algebra and to think algebricolly.
We also analyse the difficulties that introduce the traslation between different contexts of a model and between a concrete model and the general situation.
We estimate too, the various knowledges and the deloy necessary to be able to use the algebric methods to problem solving.
