Las matemáticas ocupan un lugar principal en la escuela. Las matemáticas tienen esta importancia por formar una parte de nuestra cultura y por ser además una de las pocas asignaturas que hacen pensar al estudiante. Siguiendo este objetivo y para hacer nuestras clases más amenas e interesantes proponemos usar temas e ideas provenientes de la Historia de las Matemáticas. Se expone como ejemplo el desarrollo histórico de la cartografía y de la navegación.
