Abstract

In this paper we reflect on the interrelation amongst the Biosphere, the Sociosphere and the Tecnosphere. We also study the relationship with environmental issues and the objectives of Environmental Education (EA). We list the dangers which awais these subsystems and the impact on the planet global balance.
Many countries, such as Mexico, have passed laws after becoming aware of these problems. These laws have to do with the use, handling and exploitation of natural resources. In spite of this, laws are not accomplished for various reasons.
Economic development policies and rates are analysed together with environmental problems and the influence that Environmental Education has in order to change both citizens' and governments' attitudes.
Environmental Education is a good subject to respond to environmental problems from a cross-curricular point of view. Finally Environmental Education can be the base to set a new system of values in the relationship between man and environment.
