Abstract
In this work I perform a semantic-fictional analysis of The Neverending Story, by Michael Ende (1979). My starting hypothesis is to consider the novel as an allegory of the creative writing process. I study this symbolism in the principal character, Bastian, who incarnate the figures of reader and author in the text, literally and alegorically.
