Abstract
The book we are now dealing with is entitled Cultural Rhetoric: Metaphor, Context, Translation. The voices of Rubén Darío, Miguel de Unamuno, Gabriel Aresti, Kirmen Uribe and Harkaitz Cano are described in it, and it describes the relationship that has historically existed between rhetoric and culture, a bidirectional relationship by nature and complex due to the methodology used for its evaluation; rhetoric and culture complemented each other for centuries and provided a firm basis for understanding the cultural elements in rhetorical discourses, and the role of rhetorical discourse in the development of different cultures. Hence the importance of the present edition, as it sheds new light on the crossroads where rhetoric meets culture, indicating the role of metaphor, context and translation in the aforementioned bidirectional and historical relationship.
