La raíz de las formas

Abstract

This article tries to demonstrate, theoretically, the common origin of the procedures of sensitive representation, from words and texts to forms, something that would constitute the field of the image. A field where is located the anthropological unity of the arts (not understood as a “system”, nor metaphysically). To do so, in the article it is followed a genealogical way, rebuilding the deployment of the parallel lines of mimesis in Classical Greece. Mimesis is a philosophical category usually translated in a reductive way as “imitation”, when its proper meaning is sensitive representation or, specifically, image. In conclusion: image as the common root of all forms of sensitive representation.
