Abstract
Few philosophical subjects raise such
a controversial issue than the history of
Western music. Is there a history of music?
Does Western music have a history?
What kind of story or stories has been
written? It is hoped that the multi-faceted
approach proposed here will contribute
to a greater understanding of the
otologic paradigms of Early Music and
the philosophical understanding of the
history of Western music.
