Abstract

This article seeks to place Locke’s thought between two quite different historical moments. The concept that will be useful to this investigation in such purpose is «justice». Thus, it will search not only what is mean by justice, but also the position given to justice by the English author in his theory. In particular, with reference to social power relationships. This way, it is able to demonstrate that Locke’s social contract is responsible for rehabilitating a free area of such unfair political and economical power relationships.
