Abstract
This article aims to provide a general outline to the specific features of the notion of truth in the Judaeo-Christian tradition. For that purpose we will contrast the traditional conception of truth as conformity with the singular conditions of truth as emunah. The Holy Scripture merely understood as a linguistic sign generally induces a simple and descriptive interpretation of truth. However, the Holy Book based religions and more specifically the Christian faith unveil a new conception of truth. A complete and full understanding of this notion is necessary in order to, not only to assess the religious faith, but also to conceive of the grounds of where this experience together with its correlating account of meaning is founded.
