Résumé

This article aims at stressing the importance that Hammurabi of Babylon gave to the temples in his land, following the steps of the monarchs before him. The building and restoring of religious sites, statuary, cultic utensils - all these he put at the service of the gods (especially Anu, Enlil and Marduk), of whom he declared himself "reverent prince".
