Abstract
Using the notion of the scientific research programs of Lakatos, this paper analyzes the structure of the Effective Schools Movement as it has been developed in the United Kingdom and the United States mainly and reviews the criticisms that have been made in recent years, putting greater emphasis on those related to their positivist epistemological affiliation and the lack of school effectiveness models sensitive to the context.Downloads
