Abstract
The book by ethnomusicologist Hélène Sechehaye deals with the recent history of the Moroccan Gnawa musical groups settled in Brussels from an innovative study on the music of the diaspora, analyzing the trajectories of the musicians and their role in the rites of the “maroxeloise” community, while showing their agency in a scenario of identity bricolage between Belgium and Morocco.
