Abstract
The purpose of this article is to make a re-reading of Freire's speech, which is, at once, anthropological, historical-cultural, sociological, philosophical but also pedagogical and political. There lies in for many the complexity of Paulo Freire. We think that is where its relevance, richness and actuality appear to be. This leads us to say that this wealth of thought can be compassed in the term of educational philosophy, if seen as a way to perceive the world, society and the human being; but also a theory of knowledge, a learning model and an educational practice that does not ignore the axiological or overlook the political part.
