Abstract

Between 1983 and 1986, when the educational reform was at a first stage there was a rejection towards the academicism in traditional secondary studics and the reduction of discipline contents. This was due to the influence of the movements of pedagogical renovation.
From 1987 onwards, the new working team for rhe Ministry of Education has promoted relevant changes trying to enhance the importance of discipline contents since they are regarded as basic teaching instruments.
