Abstract
Music therapy is included among the non-pharmacological therapy to address Parkinson Disease (EP). The implementation of standardized protocols can positively impact the symptoms and quality of life of people with EP. The disciplinary advances on the topic lead to new questions about the inclusion of music therapy on different stages of the disease, as well as about factors external to the pathology which are considered by professionals when applying such protocols. With the aim of reflecting on the music therapy approach in EP, considering challenges and work approaches, it was conducted a semi-structured interview with an Argentinian music therapist with experience on the topic. The institutional setting where clinical practice is developed, the particular traits of the patients with whom we work, and the professional positioning of the music therapists were identified as new points of research and analysis to continue advancing in the disciplinary knowledge on the subject.
